The wire is fully supported by the mesh and the mesh is stapled or tacked to your subfloor, not bonded with an adhesive backing. This assures both the wire and mesh remain firmly attached to your subfloor and do not float up in the mortar during installation. Advanced design brings all power connections to one convenient location. Install under tile, stone, vinyl, or wood floors and countertops. Simply cover the mat with mortar, and then install flooring on top. Adds only 1/8 inch height to floor installation.
