Great Device for Remote Access This is a great thermostat when used in conjunction with remote access devices available through […]. It allows me to raise/lower temprature in the house from anywhere in the world, as long as I have internet access. Programming the system is a ittle complicated but worth the effort for someone who needs remote access.

Okay for the Office, not so good for Home I just had all new HVAC installed in the house, this is the thermostat that they sold me. I hate it. You should be able to set a thermostat for the temperature that you want the house (or room) to be – right? You cannot perform that action with the Venstar t1900. If you want to use the Programme option, you can set a minimum temp (when you want the heater to come on) and a maximum temp (when you want the A/C to come on). What you end up getting then is an arithmetic average for room…

My worst consumer experience ever Nobody has ever bought this thermostat after checking reviews on Amazon. This is the sort of thing you mistakenly purchase when you trust the installer who recommends it to you. On the plus side, most features work. However, programming is clumsy, and you’ll probably get stuck at some point as you try to make your way through the mediocre manual.
