NOTE: pressing the “reset” button on the thermostat wil NOT disable the limits you set.Temperature Limiting Example: Prevent Heat Setpoints Above 71 Degrees Prevent Cooling Setpoints Below 78 Degrees The digital non-programmable thermostat shall be a BraeburnTM model number 1000NC, 3.72″ high x 4.75″ wide x 1.12″ deep, powered independently with either 24 Volt AC or with two “AA” Alkaline batteries (3.0 Volt DC). The thermostat shall be compatible with single stage gas, oil or electric heating or cooling systems including single stage heat pumps and 250mv – 750mv millivolt heating systems. The thermostat shall have a bright blue backlight display, adjustable temperature limits, front loading battery door and separate sub-base for trouble free installation. Temperature control range shall be between 45 and 90 F (7 and 32C), accuracy of +/- 1 F (+/- .5 C), humidity range between 5% and 95% relative humidity. The thermostat shall include non-volatile memory to retain user settings. Thermostat shall have low battery indication and a front reset button will return user settings to default values when pressed. The thermostat can be mounted to a horizontal junction box. … on my multi family and so far it works great, easy to program We own a small inn, profit margins are very small so we look for anyway to save a few pennies. One of our biggest costs (after taxes and insurance) is electricity. While guests most likely do not do this at home, many come in and turn the thermostat down to 65 degrees or lower. With outside temperatures in the upper 90s during the day, this puts a large stress on our A/C systems and on our profits. When guests check-in we mention that the A/C may shut off if the thermostat is set too low as the compressor will shut off for an hour or two to thaw out. For some reason guests do not listen and then when the A/C shuts off, we get a call that the A/C is broken. We again have to explain this is a safety feature on the A/C equipment and when it thaws out, it will reset. This thermostat is wonderful. It allows us to set min and max temperatures and setting a cooling min. temperature of 70 degrees has stopped the A/C units from freezing up, shutting off and the calls from guests that the A/C…
