Antifreeze Function
Turning the thermostat dial to the antifreeze setting and pushing the switches on will allow the radiator to maintain a minimum room temperature of approximately 42 degrees F (5 degrees C), thus preventing freezing while conserving energy.
Safety Auto Shut Off (Overheat Protection)
A safety device switches the heater off in the event of overheating. To restart the heater, remove overheating source, unplug the heater and wait at least 15 minutes to reset the safety device.

It works ok. After about a year the power … It works ok. After about a year the power switched popped off and broke making only the low mode usable. I called the warranty and they were able to send me a replacement switch. Apparently its a common problem. Installing the new switch was more difficult then expected but eventually I got it working again.
Love it so far as supplemental heat. So far, so good on the two units I bought. I have this as supplemental heat and I keep it in the very wide arched doorway between my living room and dining room. (It’s a 1940s house with one of those 6-feet wide arched openings.) It keeps the living room and dining room pretty toasty. It’s dead silent and I’ve not had any of the clicking some customers have mentioned.
Perfect!!!!! Bought this for our travel trailer. Love the compact size of it. We have several of the larger ones that we use to supplement our home heating system, so we are well aware of the excellent quality of DeLonghi. Especially like that it is radiant heat, very gentle and warm and absolutely silent.
