Difficult to initially separate thermostat body from backplate I just bought and installed this thermostat. I bought it because I needed a low cost quick replacement for an old Honeywell model CT3400A that started to malfunction. The installation, wiring connections, and general programming logic is similar to my old unit. Everything has worked well since I changed it out.
good product overall Overall it’s a good product. Wires were all color coded makes it super easy to install. Had to do some touch up paint first because the old thermostat has a bigger footprint than the new one.Careful when taking off the wallplate. I used a screwdriver to pry it open and sadly it fall apart, silicon buttons and LCD all fell out! So don’t force it, just use your hand to take it off.
