Good IR Heater, same problems as other IR heaters but it does work well and has a good design. Update 2/17/2017: It seems that the problem that I noticed on the 15th is actually an issue with the thermostat control and it repeats any time I switch to the thermostat setting. However after unplugging/resetting it, everything works fine on either low/high heat. I still like the heater (although frustrated at the control issues, it doesn’t seem worth it to go through the warranty process at the moment but I probably will later. Still working and very steady. I purchased this HZ-960 model on November 20, 2014 and it is providing good heat for my medium-sized, drafty bedroom. To save money on energy bills, I only turn it on before I go to sleep and choose the low setting and my target temperature between 70-80 degrees. by the time I wake up around 7 AM, it has reached the target temperature. It heats the bedroom slowly and gradually over several hours. Anyone who buys this machine should not expect it to reach your target temperature within minutes…
Excellent! This is a great heater for a quick room warm up. We haven’t used for much more than single room heating (our home has electric baseboard that we keep off in seldom used rooms) so it is difficult to determine the cost effectiveness. It does heat the room quickly and efficiently.
