DO NOT BUY THROUGH AMAZON!! Do not buy this system from Amazon.com. The system I received was missing parts and also Honeywell will not honor the system being purchased and installed by a person wanting to avoid a security system dealer. They will not honor the warranty and will not enable the Honeywell Total Connect system without a dealer being contacted. I requested a refund from Amazon and will look elsewhere for a home monitoring system that does not require a dealer.
Old software? Software update available? I have two of these units. I think both of them have outdated software/firmware. The features (depicted by icons) shown in the images for this product are not what my system shows. I also have reviewed a number of YouTube videos on the L7000 and the features/icons are much richer than the product I received. For instance, when I click on the “Tools” icon, the sub-menus are not icon based, but table based and the number of features/selectable items are a fraction of what seems to…
This is an excellent system, but you have to research the system to know what you are buying This item works as advertized! I installed it myself in about a week working on it about 3-4 hours a day. (with 21 sensors, not all included) Doing it this way I am more familiar with the system. The instructions are a little vague, but youtube helped a great deal. I would recommend researching all the sensors available for the system to see what fits your application better, rather than just ordering them.
