Fantastic Thermostat The new Honeywell Prestige t-stat in the HD format is really a cool idea, I purchased this t-stat to replace the white rogers big blue, being certified to do A/C I thought this was going to be easy, some things to remember, 1. you need a 5 or more wire system on your A/C / Heat this thermostat takes a common wire to power it up, if you have only 4 wires then it will NOT work you will have to pull new wire from your control board to the t-stat, and forget about calling Honeywell customer service…
NO WARRANTY COVERAGE FROM HONEYWELL!!!! Bought a similar model (HONEYWELL THX9321R5000) from another supplier about a year and a half ago. There are many things that I love about this thermostat. Easily read, great programming options, wireless remotes, and more. Recently the temperature readout has become erratic making the thermostat useless. Honeywell advertises a 5 yr warranty on this unit and provides a number to call for service. I called and was told that the unit can only be returned to the contractor that installed it. Even…
Nice Thermostat, but could be better I have reviewed the at its own page. This is a kit, combining the thermostat with the external temperature sensor. The setup for the temperature sensor was easy and the range is good. All of my thermostats all over the house get their updates with nary an issue.
