Nest thermostat vs. this Honeywell thermostat I’m giving a head-to-head review. I’ve had both a Nest 3rd Generation thermostat and this Honeywell touchscreen thermostat. I like both a lot, actually. It depends on what you’re looking for in terms of deciding which is better for you specifically.
worked for 6 months, died, honeywell refused to replace, warranty not honored I researched the thermostats to death. I had no reason to replace the old Honeywell thermostat that came with my house. It looks like it is the original thermostat that came with the house when it was built 30 years ago. So in my research I considered the Nest thermostat (and I really wanted to get it), but I settled on the Honeywell mostly because I wanted the option to set my own schedules rather than have the device “learn” what I like.
