Terrible thermostat Purchased 5 of these and had them installed for millivolt wall furnaces. These units started to fail one by one after a few months. It appears that the contact mechanism that closes the circuit in order to activate the gas valve degrades with time and eventually reduces the voltage produced by the thermopile to such a point where there is not enough voltage to activate the gas valve. Called Honeywell but they do not accept my argument (I offered to send them in for testing to prove my point)…

Honeywell Econostat-DC and Milivolt Thermostat arrived promptly and was used for a RV Propane heater. It was exactly what I needed and has worked flawlessly.
