The Early Start “feature” is a counter-productive feature that gives … The Early Start “feature” is a counter-productive feature that gives you no control of your energy use. It is supposed to start the heater in advance of your set time to have the room warm by the time you wake up. But the unit turned on the heat at 11:45 pm in advance of a 4:45 wake up, so I awoke in the middle of the night sweltering. The feature can be disabled – a call to customer service for details – but it actually took me a while before I realized the cause of the problem…
