POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE This is a sweet little thermostat and had I not needed to call Honeywell customer service I would give it a 5 star rating. First off; i have serviced industrial equipment for 30 years, however I an not what honeywell calls a contractor. this thermostat, according to honeywell; is sold to contractors only. First call they said voltage was incorrect, NOT. Second call, flat out; you are not a contractor: NO HELP PROVIDED. the set up of this unit is somewhat complicated with quite a number of…
Accurate Thermostat for controlling your Hydronic(steam or hot water) furnace/boiler I replaced an original line voltage(120vac), non-working, mercury switch Honeywell thermostat(circa 1931) with the TL8100A and I have found it to be very accurate in controlling my oil-fired hot water heating system. I use it in manual mode, but the programmable features are a nice benefit. Additionally, I found the installation instructions relatively easy to follow and was able to install it myself with a minimum of effort. Back-lighting and a battery backup would make it absolutely ideal…
