Very Poor Warranty Service I bought 3 of these units based on Honeywell’s reputation; however, their warranty service is terrible. The units were purchased in early 2012 and installed by me (not too difficult to install a 4-wire thermostat); they worked as expected until mid-2015 when one of the units stopped working. Because I had other things to do, I hired an electrician to replace it with a cheapie non-programmable unit as I anticipated it may take a while to get a replacement from Honeywell. The thermostats have…

meh, go for the other honeywell thermostat. If you’re trying to decide between the different honeywell programmable thermostats, don’t get this one; instead, get the Honeywell RLV4305A1000/E 5-2 Day Programmable Thermostat for Electric Baseboard Heaters. This one has a smaller footprint, and if you’re into the green backlit instead of blue look, sure. go for it. but we installed both in our house, and the other one is definitely easier to program, adjust, and has more flexible settings. This thermostat allows you to customize time for…

Burned and melted. Five stars for MRSUPPLY, zero stars for the thermostat and Honeywell customer “support”, I replaced my original (1984) thermostat with the Honeywell CT410B in Sep 2013 and it seemed fine. This year, when I fired up the heaters, the actual temperature was 5 degrees higher than the setting. I like the look and build of the TL8230A1003 and it’s nice to have a thermostat shut off at the set temperature.
