Works great with my gas log set I wanted to replace the standard off/on wall switch that was installed with my gas logs, with a thermostat. This was a perfect solution. I thought I would have to jury rig the mounting using a wall plate, but I was pleasantly surprised that the mounting holes were an exact fit for a standard 1 gang electrical box. I was able to quickly install it in place of the switch and it looks like it belongs there.
It’s Adequate– Maybe Since this is the only product of its kind that I’ve used, it’s difficult to confidently assert any opinion about it because I have nothing to compare it to– hence the wishy-washy middle of the road rating. Having said that, I’ll share that the thermostat did not meet my expectations. I’m just not sure my expectations are reasonable. I tested the On/Off switch several times with a VOM (volt ohm meter). The contacts of the switch vary from 1 ohm to 5 ohms each time the Off/ Heat switch is turned on and off.
