Broken component I purchased this because my touch screen was losing it’s full functionality. On my old unit I could not turn the temperature down…not good in the summer.I replaced my touch screen and came to find out that this unit was also lacking in functionality.I can’t touch or change the dates or the day parts – so I can only copy the same temperature throughout – rather than being able to make it warmer while sleeping and colder during the day etc.
Rite Temp makes a really good product I had an older model thermostat (Rite Temp model 8030) that finally gave out. When I saw this one online (model 8030c), I hoped it would be an easy replacement. I was right – the install was almost identical. The best thing about this brand is the simplicity in learning how to use it. The instructions (for those humans that actually read them) are so very easy to understand. I live in Florida.
