With advanced features the software knows when you are away from home an automatically turns down the temperature and when you get within a user specified range it turns the temperature back up so the house is comfortable when you arrive. The CT80 works with nearly every HVAC system – including traditional furnaces and heat pumps. Can control 3 stages of heat and 2 stages of cool. This allows for more precise temperature regulation and less fluctuation with today’s most sophisticated HVAC systems. True Auto mode to switch automatically between heat and cool depending on environmental factors. The CT80 can control an external air baffle. Can also control an external humidifier AND de-humidifier. You can program up to 7 independent periods per day. Can monitor and control your HVAC system based on humidity as well as temperature. The CT80 is backed by our 365-day a year call center if you have any trouble with your installation. You must have either power from the furnace (“C” or “Common” wire) or an external transformer to power the thermostat in order to run the Wi-Fi module.

Best thermostat and humidistat for the price. I love this themostat! I bought this thermostats to replace the CT 50 that I bought from Lowes a few years ago. Last year I had a new HE furnace and ac that has humidity control. The CT 50 lacked that feature. But I wanted the WiFi capability and runtime records that the CT 50 had. If you buy this and you only have a five wire cable, I recommend that you upgrade to a seven wire cable so you can take advantage of all of its features.
Easy to connect via Ipad Installed two units in my home. Easy to connect via Ipad. These are a great tool to help you manage your heat/A/C as you can see by hour how long the furnace runs, giving you the ability to fine-tune your minimum temperatures. The geo-locator function is great if you are away from the house for days at a time.
