Must Have – Spare Part Igniter I wasted no time buying this replacement part online. My previous igniter died last night on my Gas fired Boiler. It’s mid October in the central Colorado Rockies and there is snow on the ground, and it gets cold here at night. The igniter that died killed my home heating and hot water system. Just what I needed This was the 2nd time that my furnace ignitor burned out. The last two each lasted about 5 year. I was able to purchase one from my fuel supplier for a premium price. I purchased this as a spare for about 1/2 the price. These ignitors will not last forever and if you are a handy with tools and home repair I highly recommend having one as spare. They are very simple to replace and if you have a spare you can have the furnace back up and pumping out heat in short order.
