Really good product…and getting better! I’m fairly new to the “smart home” world and researched a LOT of products before purchasing the SmartThings hub. I actually started out with 2 Belkin Wemo outlets before I got SmartThings but I returned the Belkin outlets because I had issues getting them both to work properly when I was away from home. Some of the smart home “hubs” I looked into were:
SmartThings Hub Not 5 stars because this thing CURRENTLY requires the cloud for app function. So far so good on my internet not being down when I need it to run my z wave devices.
Awesome for home automation and AMAZING customer service!!! I purchased two of these units during their Kickstarter campaign. I have really liked the product since I got it with a few multi sensors and motion sensors and outlet modules. It was pretty easy to setup and when I ran into a problem the “chat with support” button on the app was instantly connected and I was walked through the process and had any trouble shooting done by the remote Smartthings employee when he logged into my hub.
